Promotions Position Company for Next Chapter of Growth
Inside Publications, which produces a portfolio of niche sports properties, is proud to announce that Anastasia Miller has been promoted to Associate Publisher, Kelly O’Brien has been promoted to Senior Brand Manager of Cheerleading and Cameron Deer has been promoted to Event Coordinator. The Inside Publications family of brands includes the magazines Inside Gymnastics, Inside Cheerleading, Cheer Biz News, Inside Dance and Inside Volleyball. In addition, the company’s Custom Pubs division develops books, calendars and other specialized items. Its event division produces GymConUSA gymnastics conference and hosts dozens of ‘Road Trip’ destinations coast to coast. A number of new projects are also in cue for late 2016 and early 2017.
Miller, who previously served as Sales Manager and Associate Publisher of Inside Dance, will now serve as Associate Publisher across the company’s entire family of brands. Miller, part of the Sales and Partnership team led by Shelly O’Brien, works with clients to develop and implement successful advertising and promotional programs. She’s a graduate of The Ohio State University, where she served as captain of the Dance Team and earned her degree in Marketing. Previously, Miller spent over a decade in talent representation, managing choreographers, dancers, actors, athletes and models. She was a senior agent at BLOC Talent Agency LA before leading the team at BLOC NYC and also has worked for Clear Talent Group.
O’Brien previously served as Editor and will now lead all editorial and marketing initiatives for Inside Cheerleading and Cheer Biz News, as well as the extensions of those brands. In this role she’ll oversee the development and production of the company’s two annual cheer publications, The Coach’s Handbook and The Season Commemorative Yearbook. Prior to joining Inside Publications, O’Brien earned a degree in Communications from Georgia College. She then went on to work extensively in the fields of journalism, marketing and event management, and will combine all of those skills in this newly created position.
Deer, who has been a part of the company’s event team for the past three years, will now serve as Event Coordinator, working with the company’s Brand Managers in executing dozens of events that are part of the company’s annual Road Trip, in which members of the team visit competitions and events across the country. Deer, a former elite gymnast and U.S. National Team member, has also coached gymnastics and cheerleading. Following his gymnastics days, Deer competed in fitness competitions, earning the title at Mr. Fitness Universe in 2013.
“I’m very proud of our incredibly talented team and look forward to Anastasia, Kelly and Cameron continuing to make an impact through their new roles,” said Chris Korotky, President and Founder of Inside Publications. “These promotions are well deserved and position us perfectly as we head into the next chapter of the company with continued growth. Our mantra is, ‘Great Team. Great Work. Great Results.’ and that’s exactly what we’ll continue to deliver!”
