- Shelly O’Brien Promoted to Vice President of Sales
- Anastasia Miller, Gus Roethlisberger and Erica Sowell Hood Join Team
ATLANTA, Ga. – July 17, 2014 Inside Publications, which produces a portfolio of niche sports magazines, is proud to announce that Shelly O’Brien has been promoted to Vice President of Sales, where she’ll lead the sales and marketing team into a new era. We’re also pleased to welcome Anastasia Miller, Gus Roethlisberger and Erica Sowell Hood to the team.
O’Brien, who previously served as Sales and Marketing Manager before a promotion to Associate Publisher, will oversee all sales and partnership initiatives in her new position. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Georgia where she was the captain of the cheerleading team. O’Brien then cheered for the Atlanta Falcons for three seasons before returning to UGA to serve as the Spirit Coordinator/Head Cheer and Dance Coach for four years.
“I’m extremely excited and eager to take on this new challenge,” notes O’Brien. “Our growing and evolving company is moving into a new era and I’m honored to help lead the charge. My commitment will remain to providing the absolute best service possible to our partners and working with them to create and execute marketing plans that truly deliver in our niche markets.”
Miller joins the company as Sales Manager, where she will work with clients in developing and implementing advertising and promotional programs. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where she served as captain of the Dance Team and earned her degree in Marketing. For the past 14 years, Anastasia has been a talent representative booking choreographers, dancers, actors, athletes, and models for feature films, television, commercials, music videos, Broadway productions and world artist tours. She was a senior agent at BLOC Talent Agency LA before leading the team at BLOC NYC and also has worked for Clear Talent Group.
“I’ve been a reader and fan of Inside Cheerleading, Cheer Biz News, and Inside Gymnastics magazines for many years and it’s amazing to now be part of the team produces these incredible publications,” Miller says. “With the launch of Inside Dance this year, I couldn’t be more proud and excited to contribute to the growth and development with my experience as a dance professional!”
Roethlisberger joins the company as Account and Merchandise Manager, where he will work with advertising partners in campaign development and will also lead the Merchandise initiatives for the company. Roethlisberger was a successful competitive athlete in Artistic Gymnastics, Trampoline and Tumbling. A member of the U.S. National Team, he competed for Team USA at the World Championships, and also competed collegiately for the University of Minnesota. There, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Retail Merchandising and went on to positions in retail sales and management, and also has extensive experience in Account Management.
“I’m thrilled to begin my next challenge within Inside Publications and look forward to working with such a talented team,” says Roethlisberger. “The foundation of the company is rooted in competitive athletics and I’m fortunate to bring my background in gymnastics, merchandising and account management to this exciting company!”
Hood joins as West Coast Account Manager, based in Los Angeles. A graduate of California State University Long Beach, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing, Hood was a member of the award-winning Long Beach State Dance Team. As a professional dancer, Erica has appeared in theatrical productions, films, television shows, commercials and music videos.
Hood remarks: “Dance is my passion and to be able to work with an exciting new publication that has a fresh take on the world of dance is a dream come true. I’m looking forward to helping our advertisers put their message front and center in the dance community!”
